How CitizensOS works

How prices are set

Every asset has its own price: Country Value plus MAX, fifty cents a point.

How a price is made

  • Country Value0 to 100Up to $50How popular the country is with Americans
  • MAX0 to 100Up to $50What the program gives you
  • PriceCountry Value + MAX50 cents a pointThe price you pay, once

For example: Country Value 80 plus MAX 70 makes a price of $75.00. Prices are always shown to the cent.

  • Everyone sees the same price, and the price on your order is the price you pay.
  • A plan costs the sum of the assets you add, each at its own price.
  • Real demand moves a price a little each day, up or down, by at most 1%.
  • There is no minimum price except zero, and no ceiling.
  • Each option expires after 12 months. You can then purchase a new 12-month option at the current market price.

MAX, part one: ten rights, 4 points each

  • Live there without working
  • Work for a local employer
  • Work remotely for a foreign employer
  • Start a local company
  • Use public healthcare
  • Access education
  • Buy property
  • Own shares in local companies
  • Vote in national elections
  • Pass citizenship to your children

A right we have documented earns 4 points. One we haven't documented yet earns 0 for now and is never shown as a no.

MAX, part two: where a citizenship lets you live, up to 10 points

Some countries belong to settlement agreements, such as the EU or Mercosur, that let their citizens live in the other member countries. We count every country a citizenship lets you settle in, its own included. Irish citizenship reaches 35: the EU and EEA, Switzerland, the UK, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. That earns the full 10 points. A citizenship valid in one country earns 0, and the first few extra countries count the most. A residence permit earns 0, because it doesn't carry these rights.

MAX, part three: six factors, scored 0 to 10

  • No investment required. Full marks if the option doesn't require an investment amount.
  • Stability. How long the program has run. A program operating since 1984 earns full marks in 2026.
  • Required presence. Fewer days a year you must spend there scores higher, up to 183 days.
  • Duration granted. How long the status lasts: a year is one point, a lifetime is ten.
  • Apply online. Whether you can apply online from start to finish.
  • Passport power. For citizenship options, the passport's visa-free destinations compared with the highest Henley count. Residence options score zero.

The six factors have different weights: no investment 8, stability 10, presence 8, duration 12, online application 4 and passport power 8. Together they add up to 50 points. Rights add up to 40 and settlement reach adds up to 10.

How demand moves a price

  • An asset bought10
  • A shared link opened by someone else2
  • A watchlist add1

Counted over the last 28 days, once per person for each kind. Once a day, a price moves toward what demand says it should be, by at most 1%. Three different members are needed before a price can rise; it can fall without that. We never show a countdown or a made-up count.

What you pay, and to whom

  • CitizensOS, when you add an asset. The price above, paid once: your 10-step plan, a secure place to get your documents ready and your certificate, for 12 months.
  • Application services, when you apply. Quoted before you pay, only if you ask us or a local provider to file for you.
  • The government, when you file. Its own fees, paid to it and never mixed into our price.
